August Favorites

Hello and welcome to September! I hope everyone had a lovely Labor Day weekend and that your month is already off to a fantastic start!

Let's kick the work week off with some August favorites that I'll still be using in the upcoming month …

Share your August favorites in the comments section below!
1) Know what cramps my style? A three-foot cord when I'm trying to charge my iPhone. I know you're technically not supposed to use your phone while it's charging, but I don't play by that rule. This cord is especially helpful if you're in a hotel and there isn't an outlet near your nightstand. Here's a link to purchase this cord on ebay, but if you look at some daily deal websites, you might be able to score two of these for $12 like I managed.

2) Dotted raw-edge club T from GAPPicked up a few of these on sale during a quick trip to GAP and am loving them. This polka dot tee is great with shorts or jeans for a casual look, or you can dress it up with some gray pants for the office.

3) Quaker Real Medleys (grocery store) | A new addition to my favorite breakfasts on the go! No longer are we limited to bland and flavorless flavors like Apples 'n Cinnamon or Peaches 'n Cream … now we have more grown-up flavors like Apple Walnut, Cherry Pistachio, Summer Berry and Peach Almond. Slightly pricey at $1.75 each, but they're quick and tasty. That's good enough for me.

4) L'oreal EverStyle Tousle Creme (drugstore) | As someone with naturally curly hair, I've tried every type of product available for my hair texture and this one is one of the best. I scrunch this into my wet hair and let it air dry for a beachy and wavy look. On dry hair, I smooth just a teeny bit onto already styled hair to lock out humidity. It also smells heavenly … I'd repurchase it for the scent alone!!!

5) Essie Secret Stash (drugstore) | Beautiful and bright fuchsia that's perfect for the last few weeks of summer. (I don't care if Labor Day has come and gone … if it's still in the triple digits here in Austin, I call it summer.)

6) Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Kiss Me Coral (drugstore) | My favorite beauty bloggers have been raving about this product all summer long. I finally got my hands on one, and it's as good as they've claimed! It's quite silky instead of sticky, and the color is sheer and buildable. Gotta say, I'll be picking up a few more colors in this line when those ULTA coupons hit my mailbox this month.
